This illustration is based on a friend of mine who is pursuing a career in acting. She is an amazing person with a deep passion for music, acting, and dance, and she’s working tirelessly to make her dreams come true. Having watched her up close—seeing just how hard she’s worked and how earnestly she’s held onto her hopes—I could deeply relate to her feelings. Her constant striving toward her dreams has motivated me and given me a lot of courage, so I wanted to portray her in bright colors that convey hope.
